GOHS Classes Resume on Late Start Bell Schedule - Tuesday, February 28, 2017

Good evening GOHS families,

This is an important message regarding school for Tuesday, February 28.  At this time, we plan to resume classes tomorrow with a late start bell schedule.  Crews are continuing to work this evening to resolve our electrical power issue.  While we have been assured that work will be completed with no additional issues, we need to be proactive and have a back up plan.  Repeating today's late start schedule will give us the time necessary in the morning to evaluate the work performed throughout the evening. If some unforeseen circumstance arises and we have to make alternate plans for classes tomorrow, we will notify GOHS families and students by 7:00 a.m.

Additionally, the District is applying for an emergency waiver from the state for today's attendance and we have been advised that students will not have to make up today because of the emergency circumstances.

Thank you as always for your patience and understanding.  We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.  Remember, late start bell schedule, school starts at 8:45 a.m..

Agenda for the Evening

"The research is clear, consistent, and convincing. Parent, family, and community involvement in education correlates with higher academic performance and school improvement. When schools, parents, families, and communities work together to support learning, students tend to earn higher grades, attend school more regularly, stay in school longer, and enroll in higher level programs." NEA

Congratulations to our National Merit Scholarship Finalists
