The Reader's Club January selection is Vango: Between Sky and Earth by Timothee de Fombelle.

Paris,1934. In a world between wars, a young man on the verge of joining the priesthood is suddenly forced to go on the run for a murder he didn’t commit. Fleeing the police as well as more sinister forces with darker intentions, Vango tries to discover the secrets of his hidden past and prove his innocence.

As he crisscrosses Europe via train, boat, and even zeppelin, his adventures take him from Parisian rooftops to Mediterranean islands to Scottish forests. With a sprawling cast of pirates, arms dealers, Soviet assassins, Nazi agents, British aristocrats and a pistol-packing priest, Vango tells an exhilarating tale sure to thrill fans of daring heroes and epic adventures

Readers from GOHS, CHS, & TVHS gathered at Barnes & Noble on October 23 to visit with C.T. Hillin, author of The Imati . Her book is a young adult novel set in a world of immortals, Souljumpers, Seekers and ancient prophecies -- with flashbacks to Ally's life in different time periods and various countries.[She is an immortal, essentially 300 years old.] It's a journey about choices and how the decisions we make in the past, have consequences in our future.

Students from all three high schools meet at Barnes & Noble a few times a year to talk about books and occasionally visit with authors.
