ASK 3, THEN ME:

When you are absent, will be absent in the future, or have a question about an assignment, you must check 3 of the 4 options below, before returning to class or asking me:

1. Check the website announcements and calendar

2. Ask a friend for details

3. Check the hanging file folder in class for handouts

4. Check the whiteboard calendar

When you return to class, you should approach my desk at an appropriate time (many minutes before the bell rings, after class, or a work time during class) and tell me something along the lines of, "I was absent yesterday so I checked your website and saw that we have a worksheet due today. I got the worksheet from the hanging folders and asked a friend to help explain it to me, but I need a link to the video that went with the worksheet. Can you email that to me or put it on your website so I can watch it tonight and turn it in tomorrow?" Then, I will be so glad to help you because you were resourceful and independent!

If you return to me and say "Did I miss anything?" I will not provide you with details until you come back to me prepared.

Remember, you are in high school now, so you must keep track of all six of your classes. Keep a planner and check your teachers' websites often.

Syllabus and Late Work Policy

8/1/16

Late Work Policy: Progress grades are posted halfway through each semester. Once those grades are posted, late work will not be accepted from that half of the semester.

  • If work is turned in late, the work does not receive priority grading; it might not be graded until grades are due.
  • All late work must be turned in one week before grades are due for each grading period; there are two grading periods each semester. ‚Äč
